Paper cores for aluminium and metal strip
In shortAluminium and steel strip is heavy and wound under tension: it needs thick-walled cores, extra-strong board and verified radial strength.

High loads and tension
A metal coil is heavy and wound at high tension: the core takes both a crushing load and radial pressure. 6" or larger diameters, walls from 12 to 20 mm and high-density board are common.
What to specify
- Flat crush to ISO 11093-9 and radial crush in bar, with the method.
- Bending stiffness for wide coils.
- Low, stable moisture: cold metal can cause condensation.
- Ends and surface that do not mark the strip.
